What We've Been Up To. . .

Lately it's been really busy around here! Trying to "study" for school (or at least not forget that 2 +2 =4) and getting all our "ducks" in a row. We took Braden for his pre-kindergarten well check which was TONS (not!) of fun. Here was on the scale weighing in at 43 lbs. I used this for my picture of the day.

Then Tuesday, our nieces Taylor & Tori (sure you all know them) spent the night with us. Here is Taylor & Abbi on the "spinny thing" ahh, the memories they'll have!

Can't leave out this little jewel! So stinkin' cute!

The hi-lite were the spaghetti faces - what could be better?

Hope to have some crafty stuff for you soon - been trying to work for profit so the stuff I can share is a bit limited right now. Have a fun day!

Stretch Baby, Stretch

So, I'm trying to "stretch" my style a little bit. I found these at Michael's the other day (part of K & Co.) and just knew "Baby Tori" would look "tweet" on this paper (get it . .. there are birds, birds say tweet, tweet) Anyway, I loved the way it turned out (I Hope you do too Melissa). Tori is growing up so fast (too fast if you ask me, but I'm sure no one is asking me.)

Gotta love those baby feet! Can you tell Uncle David was proud? He loves his little nieces.

I finally turned in my "application" for the American Crafts challenge - hopefully it all made it successfully (via email - multiple pics). Even though there are alot of applicants I'm sure, I am proud that I actually made good on the promise I've been telling myself for several years.

Enjoy your weekend folks - Daddy is off tomorrow so we will PLAY!

What I've Been Working On!

So one of the things I've been working on is preparing myself for this little guy to start Kindergarten in 43 days! My heart just melts thinking of him going to school - though he will be the cutest little guy there in his khaki's! I handed him his lunch yesterday and as he walked to the table I thought "wow, in a few days he'll be eating lunch with nearly 100 other children and I'll be by myself" Not so sure I'm as ready as I think I should be - he's been my sidekick for five years now - Lord help me let them go!

This was him practicing his kindergarten work - so cute - he said, "mommy you will be so happy for this!"

This is one of the layouts for the American Crafts challenge - I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I don't usually take the time to cut paper the way I did this one but I was trying to keep in the circle theme of things.

Up close of the ribbon detail - pretty good bow huh?

This is the 2nd layout - I loved this pic of his when we picked blueberries - thanks for the new camera honey, cause he didn't even realize I was takiing his picture!

Love the glitter chipboard letters!

Again, a big fan of ribbon (especially the double sided by American Crafts!)

Here is a layout for mine & David's album - a flashback of Jan. 08 - Lisa, does this look familiar? I'm trying to streamline (& reduce the amount of pics) for our personal album - challenging when you have such great kiddos!

Enjoy your day=)

4th of July (& a neat card)

So the 4th of July is a favorite holiday (might have something to do with the color red) for alot of reasons! As I age I realize the significance of freedom and certainly now, how quickly it could fade. On a lighter note, I enjoy the time in the sun, the pool, the food, and the festivities. Here are a few of this year's highlights. Also, scroll to the bottom to the a graduation card I made one of the lovely ladies at church - I hardly wanted to get rid of it:(

Braden LOVES watermelon~

I enjoy being Martha in the kitchen

The twins playing chicken~

Up-close: Basic Grey paper/Making Memories flowers & button/Bo Bunny ribbon.

I used a gel-writer in white to write her message - different for me but
I liked it alot~

Hope you enjoyed your 4th and check back soon for some new layouts!

Lisa - This One's for You!

Here is a layout nearly two years in waiting. I surprised Abbi by taking her to a Gator football game - what a wonderful time we had together and who can resist seeing Tim Tebow in person?!? One of my favorite people (of those I've never actually met). This layout (though it is in my personal album) was done with the Little Yellow Bicycle - Zack's Life - line. The only other items used were my cricut (title words) and my computer for journaling.

Hope you enjoy your LONG weekend and thank Jesus and a soldier!
